North Las Vegas Mayor John Jay Lee proclaimed Jan. 6, 2017, Manheim Nevada Day in recognition of the company’s contributions to the community. The designation was made due to the location’s commitment to serving its employees, the environment and the community, as well as being such a strong community partner that supports the growth and vitality of the city.
The honor was announced at a ceremony in which Mayor Lee presented a framed copy of the proclamation to Eddie Lafferty, general manager of Manheim Nevada.
"Being a strong community partner is in Manheim Nevada's DNA, and we are humbled to be recognized by Mayor Lee for our contributions to the City of North Las Vegas. Mayor Lee's leadership and focus on forging strong partnerships with local businesses fuels the continued progress and exceptional vibrance of this great city,” said Lafferty.

Additionally, Manheim Nevada unveiled a solar installation in 2016, which produces 62 percent of the facility’s energy and prevents 1,270 tons of carbon from entering the environment.
Manheim Nevada has had a presence in North Las Vegas for 20 years. It began operations in 2006.
