Manheim Orlando Named ‘Big Business of the Year’

When it comes to serving the community, the Manheim Orlando team knows how to ‘go big or go home.’ On February 6, 2017, the company was named Big Business of the Year by the Orlando Chamber of Commerce at the organization’s “Big Orange Awards.”

“To be recognized for investing in our community and for doing what we enjoy as a team is quite an honor,” said Butch Herdegen, general manager for Manheim Orlando. “We are always looking for opportunities to partner with people and organizations that make a difference for families who live and work in Orlando, and we’ll continue to serve others in 2017.”

Manheim Orlando is one of the largest operating locations of Manheim North America, the leading provider of vehicle remarketing services. The Orlando location earned this distinction because of its local economic impact and dedication to community service. Some 3,300 independent, franchise and commercial dealers visit the massive 286-acre location every week, where some 350 full-time and part-time team members facilitate more than $3 billion in wholesale automotive transactions annually.

Throughout the past year, Manheim Orlando has supported Christmas in July, Arnold Palmer Children’s Hospital, the Epilepsy Association of Central Florida, Orlando Science Center, Christian Service Center, the YMCA and the Pet Alliance of Greater Orlando. In addition, Manheim Orlando hosted Chamber members through Leadership West Orange. CA.

The team was also recognized for hosting the Chamber’s Hob Nob and Straw Poll event which boasted record attendance by political candidates and interested voters. Manheim Orlando partnered with Ben’s Maintenance, Mike’s Security and Danny’s Outside Ops to make the event an all-around success.
