Hendrick Automotive Group Selects Manheim As Exclusive Remarketing Partner

Nation's Second-Largest Privately Held Automotive Dealership Group Builds on Integrated, Strategic Partnership

NEW ORLEANS – As a result of a long-term, strategic partnership that has led to successful business growth, Hendrick Automotive Group has selected Manheim as their exclusive remarketing partner effective Jan. 1, 2014. This partnership selects Manheim as Hendrick Automotive’s primary source for remarketing wholesale inventory through its physical locations, mobile auctions and online. Hendrick Automotive Group operates 87 dealerships in the U.S.

“We believe in selecting partners who are fully committed to our business success,” said Chris Little, Hendrick Automotive vice president, variable operations. “Manheim has continued to demonstrate an ability to identify our pain points, as well as future remarketing needs, and to respond with innovative and efficient solutions to further our growth.  We truly value the relationship we have with Manheim.”

Manheim and Hendrick Automotive have been working together for more than 10 years. During this time, Manheim has delivered a variety of business solutions, including remarketing training for the company’s used car directors, consulting services that have led to more efficient and profitable solutions and setting up one of the first Dealer Trade Networks for their operations.  Manheim’s Dealer Trade Networks are closed-vehicle exchanges where individual dealers within a large dealership group can buy and sell their used inventory, allowing the dealership locations to get the right cars to the right lots.  In addition to Hendrick Automotive Group, Manheim has Dealer Trade Networks in place with several other large dealer groups across the country.

“At Manheim, having deeper and richer discussions with customers allows us to fully understand their business, the challenges they face and the direction they want to take in the future,” said Susie Heins, Manheim vice president, dealer sales.  “Hendrick Automotive Group believes strongly in investing in partnerships where both companies work hard together and win together.”
