Manheim Names New Canadian Vice President
Selects Danny Fayad to Lead Customer Management and Strategic Development

ATLANTA -- As part of its ongoing commitment to serve the unique needs of the Canadian market, Manheim has named Danny Fayad as vice president of sales and business development for Canada. Fayad will report to Mike McKinney, regional vice president of operations, East.

“We’re excited to have the experience and strong leadership of Danny on our Canadian team,” McKinney said. “Danny’s wealth of knowledge about the market and auction operations along with his dealer background, bring a great perspective as we continue to develop products and bring new tools to the Canadian marketplace.”

In this role, Fayad will lead both the commercial and dealer account teams in Canada, with a focus on providing solutions to enhance the customer experience. Fayad and his team will continue Manheim’s ongoing efforts to understand customer needs and to create solutions; watch market trends, and track industry updates.

Fayad brings more than 30 years of experience in the automotive industry and valuable insight into dealer needs, including a career rich in both wholesale and retail operations. In 2013, he built a state-of-the-art auction in Edmonton, partnering with Manheim to make Manheim Edmonton and Source Auto Auction the company’s first venture into western Canada.

Previously, Fayad was the executive director of used vehicle operations of the Priestner Group also known as Go Auto.  In that role Fayad was responsible for oversight and management of the profitability in the wholesale used car departments within the group’s structure.  Through his expertise, Fayad led the expansion of Go Auto as one of the largest automotive groups in western Canada.

With an extensive background in cross border trading and the brokerage business, Fayad also brings valuable first-hand knowledge of the used dealer business. He previously owned and operated an independent used vehicle store. In addition he was owner and manager of Trail Boss Inc., a customer-service based ATV rental company located in the heart of Alberta, and also has experience in the oil and gas industry.
