ATLANTA – Keeping its commitment to expand operations to key markets to better serve independent dealers, Go Auto Exchange announced today the acquisition of United Auto Auction in Houston. The location, which has been serving local dealers and consignors in Houston and the surrounding area for more than 25 years, will be renamed Go Auto Exchange Houston effective immediately. Go Auto Exchange also operates locations in Phoenix and Atlanta and will add a fourth location in Orlando this summer.
“We are very excited about the sale and look forward to working with the Go Auto Exchange team as they continue to grow the sale for local dealers,” said Isaac “IT” Williams, owner. Isaac and Jennifer Williams, owners of United Auto Auction for the past 10 years, will stay on after the sale to assist with the transition. In addition, Steve Swinford, United Auto Auction’s general manager, will join Go Auto Exchange and continue in his current role.
Located on 11 acres, United Auto Auction offers four auction lanes and hosts weekly night sales on Tuesdays at 6 p.m. The location serves hundreds of independent dealers and consignors each week throughout Texas.
“Our acquisition of United Auto Auction in Houston supports our goal of continuing to serve the lower-value vehicle segment in key markets, while providing independent dealers with added convenience,” said Tim Janego, president of Go Auto Exchange.
