To show the value that the remarketing industry provides to the auto sector and to the local economy, Manheim Riverside hosted Congressman Mark Takano (D-Riverside) to an auction/tour and visit. The tour included a view of the fast-paced auction sale, the work that is done to maximize vehicle value and the employees that bring it all together.
On April 22, Takano’s morning visit marks his 100th visit of his “100 Business” tour that began last year. Rep. Takano toured the reconditioning center, body shop, detail area and VCI/Audi Tech Ops Center.
“Manheim Riverside was honored to host Congressman Takano,” said Christopher Brown, the general manager at Manheim Riverside. “We are excited that the congressman selected Manheim Riverside as the final stop of his ‘100 business’ tour.”
“I am proud to announce that Manheim Riverside will be the 100th business that I will visit for my ‘100 Businesses’ tour,” Rep. Takano said in a press release issued April 17. “This tour allowed me to talk directly with the business owners and their employees and learn what Congress can do to accelerate the area’s economic recovery.”
During his tour, Rep. Takano visited with Brown, Manheim Southern California Market Vice President Scott Hurst and Manheim Senior Director of Government Affairs Karyn Wrye.
