Manheim Cincinnati Makes Donation To Keep Cincinnati Beautiful
Local Auto Auction Selected as Recipient of Cox Conserves Chairman's Cup for Sustainability Efforts, Gives $12,500 to Local Charity

CINCINNATI, Ohio – To reinforce its commitment to support local green efforts, Manheim Cincinnati announced a $12,500 donation to Keep Cincinnati Beautiful. As a part of Cox Enterprises, Manheim Cincinnati participates in the Cox Conserves Chairman’s Cup, an internal program that recognizes Cox field locations for implementing sustainable business practices.

One location is selected from each of Cox Enterprises’ major subsidiaries (Cox Communications, Manheim, Cox Media Group and AutoTrader Group) as a winner. As the winning Manheim location, Manheim Cincinnati was awarded $12,500 to donate to a local environmental nonprofit and selected Keep Cincinnati Beautiful.

Keep Cincinnati Beautiful is an award-winning nonprofit organization that promotes beautification, recycling, litter prevention and community pride. The donation will assist Keep Cincinnati Beautiful in providing resources and programs to communities that empower residents to improve their neighborhoods.

“We’re excited to receive this contribution from Manheim Cincinnati and Cox Enterprises,” Keep Cincinnati Beautiful Executive Director Linda Holterhoff said. “This donation will assist our Environmental Education department by providing the resources we need to grow green habits in young children."

“We are extremely proud and humbled to have been selected for this great honor by our parent company,” said Anita Jamison, general manager of Manheim Cincinnati. “Our team has partnered with Cox Enterprises on multiple projects to help lessen our impact on the environment, and we could not have earned this achievement without them.”

Manheim Cincinnati developed a Conservation Committee last year to create a plan to help make the auction greener.  The committee meets quarterly to develop new ideas to make the location more environmentally friendly, discuss volunteer projects and provide updates to ongoing projects. The committee promoted environmental awareness with an online quarterly newsletter to employees, developed an Online Dealer Exchange promotion, completed a waste audit, transitioned to paperless invoices that saves the printing of 5,200 invoices annually and participated in a river cleanup with Cox Media Group Ohio. As part of the cleanup, Cox and Manheim employees removed more than 1,000 pounds of trash from the Great Miami River.
