Canine companions and manheim ohio partner for 5k race on saturday, oct. 12

DUBLIN, Ohio – The inaugural Canine Companions 5K Life Unleashed Race will be held Saturday, Oct. 12, beginning at 9:30 a.m. Registration for the run/walk, which begins at the Dublin Recreation Center and includes a $30 registration fee, begins at 8:30 a.m.  

  • WHO/WHAT: More than 100 runners are expected for the event, which benefits Canine Companions for Independence®, the nation’s first and largest non-profit provider of assistance dogs for children, adults and veterans with physical disabilities. Manheim Ohio, located at 3905 Jackson Pike in Grove City, and its employees have supported Canine Companions and its programs since 2008, including sponsorship of the annual Canine Companion Dog Walk. The Canine Companions DogFest will be held immediately following the run/walk, and will include fund-raising raffles, as well as agility demonstrations and presentations by Canine Companions volunteer puppy raisers and recipients.   • WHY: As event host, Manheim Ohio and its staff organized the run, secured event sponsors and designed the race/walk t-shirt. The other event sponsors include Auto Reflections, Ingle-Barr, Inc., Roosters, Road Runner Sports and Tansky Sawmill Toyota.
