Ford and Manheim Partner to Expand Dealer Opportunities in Canada
Manheim Toronto to host weekly sales for dealers starting this spring

TORONTO, April 15, 2013 - Manheim Canada has announced a new remarketing partnership with Ford Motor Company of Canada, Ltd. Ford of Canada will begin running weekly sales at Manheim Toronto that will be open to all dealers in late May. In addition, dealers also will be able to purchase vehicles offered on OVE.com.

“Ford and Manheim have had a longstanding partnership in the U.S. for almost half a century, and we’re thrilled to work with them in Canada,” said Nick Peluso, Manheim’s senior vice president of customer management. “This is a great opportunity for us to build on the best practices we’ve learned with Ford around the world, show them our service advantages, and continue to grow our relationship.”

Sales will take place every Tuesday, starting in late May, featuring an assortment of daily rental repurchase, off-lease and repo vehicles. More details will be announced soon.

“We look forward to working with the Manheim team,” said Tim Quesnel, remarketing operations manager at Ford of Canada. “We have some important goals in common: make it as easy as possible for dealers to access the vehicles they need, and make the customer experience a positive one. We are encouraging our dealers to be ready to take advantage of these sales.”

“Our staff is very excited to be working with the Ford team,” said Cheryl Munce, general manager of Manheim Toronto. “Ford of Canada brings a proven reputation as a trusted seller with high-quality products, something we appreciate as much as our customers do!”

As Manheim Canada continues to grow its national market reach, members of its dealer sales and services teams across the country are ready to assist dealers with registering to participate in all Manheim sales. Dealers are welcome to reach out directly to Ryan Stubbs, Manheim Canada’s dealer sales manager, for dedicated full-service support at ryan.stubbs@manheim.com.

Plans are underway to expand Ford-sponsored auctions to other Manheim Canada locations and include closed sale channels as well. Additional details will be announced as new schedules are finalized.
