Janet Barnard Named Executive Vice President And Coo Of Manheim

ATLANTA – Manheim announced today that Janet Barnard has been named executive vice president and chief operating officer. She will report to Sandy Schwartz, president of Manheim.

 

 

 

Barnard is a Cox veteran with more than 24 years of experience, working in various senior leadership roles with Cox Communications. Most recently, she served as senior vice president and general manager of the Cox Communications Central Region. Barnard began her career with Cox Communications in 1988 and has worked in a variety of finance and business operations leadership positions, including regional vice presidencies for Omaha and Middle America Cox, as well as Northern Virginia. 

 

 

 

Barnard’s areas of responsibility at Manheim will include overseeing the operations, sales and IT functions. She will assume her new role in early December.

She has been recognized by CableFAX as a Top 25 Regional Player as well as one of the Top 100 Most Powerful Women in Cable.  Women in Cable and Telecommunications (WICT) named her Woman to Watch and she is a member of Class 20 of the Betsy Magness Leadership Institute. She served as a mentor for the WICT Virginia chapter as well as for youth and women in the community and industry.
