Demetry Named Manheim's Chief of Staff
Has Served as Manheim’s Principal Attorney For Past Decade

ATLANTA – Manheim president and CEO Dean Eisner announced today that Jim Demetry has been named the company’s first-ever chief of staff, effective June 16.

In this role, Demetry will work with Eisner and Manheim’s senior management team to establish strategic priorities, streamline implementation processes, and monitor activities toward completion. He will also serve as the conduit for all company legal matters.

For the last 10 years, Demetry has served as Manheim’s lead attorney at the Atlanta law office of Dow Lohnes, providing legal guidance to Manheim’s operating locations, businesses and senior managers on a wide range of issues.

"Jim brings a deep understanding of Manheim’s business, goals and culture after working so closely with us the last 10 years,” said Eisner. “Now, as a member of our executive team, he will have the ability to assure the coordination and implementation of executive-level strategic initiatives and programs, which is great news for all of us at Manheim who understand the level of dedication and attention to detail that Jim brings to his work every day.”

A 1985 graduate of The Ohio State University College of Law, Demetry earned an undergraduate degree in economics from the University of Michigan in 1982. After one year at the Atlanta firm of Hansell & Post, Demetry joined Dow Lohnes in 1986, becoming a Member of the firm in 1994. In 1998, he became head of the firm’s labor and employment practice.
