Stepping up to the plate, Manheim Darlington and Manheim Atlanta recently partnered with BMW Group Financial Services to host a mobile sale in Greenville, S.C. What made this a unique event wasn’t the sale itself or the 94% conversion rate BMW experienced. Instead it was the venue – Fluor Field, home to Boston Red Sox affiliate, the Greenville Drive. Against the backdrop of the stadium’s replica “Green Monster,” several of BMW’s largest dealers had the opportunity to view and bid on top-quality inventory via a closed Simulcast sale conducted on the stadium’s giant video scoreboard. Additionally, they were treated to stadium food and had the opportunity to take batting practice on the field prior to the sale.
Fluor Field is just another example of the non-traditional locations where Manheim has hosted mobile auctions.
