Inspections provide buyers with added confidence

August 14, 2017 - When Manheim Pennsylvania opened its doors in 1945, the owners probably didn’t envision the significant impact the auto auction business would have on the national economy and in local communities nearly eight decades later. In recognition of these contributions and the industry’s entrepreneurship, Manheim locations nationwide are geared up to celebrate National Auto Auction Week, Aug. 14-18. Sponsored by the National Auto Auction Association (NAAA), Manheim will utilize Facebook and Twitter to create awareness with clients and showcase local auction activities throughout the week.

“National Auto Auction Week is a great time to reflect on the commitment that our team members and loyal clients exhibit every day in driving this industry forward,” said Janet Barnard, president of Cox Automotive Inventory Solutions. “Our industry continues to thrive, and at Manheim, we’re excited to play a key role in furthering its growth and transformation by delivering an easier and faster experience for our clients.”

Since running its first three cars nearly 73 years ago, Manheim has continued to evolve in a rapidly changing industry – and in many cases it has led the way. Through 127 traditional and mobile auction sites and diverse digital channels, Manheim is leading the evolution of the auto auction industry by helping dealer and commercial clients achieve business results with its suite of innovative end-to-end inventory solutions.

Manheim’s history of serving its local communities is also well-documented, and its team members continue to give back through charity involvement. Highlights this year included Manheim locations in the company’s Central and West regions raising $110,000 for the annual Kyle Petty Charity Ride Across America. Additionally, 37 Manheim locations across the country donated more than 34,000 pounds of food in support of Cox Automotive’s annual “Drive Away Hunger” campaign.

“National Auto Auction Week is a terrific opportunity to recognize the strength of our industry and the immense value auto auctions provide,” said Grace Huang, senior vice president of Inventory Services for Manheim. “I want to sincerely thank our team members who keep the show running smoothly at Manheim and our clients who enable us to succeed in an industry we truly love.”

Be sure to tune in all week to Manheim’s social media channels as the company highlights local auction activities and sends thanks to its team members and clients for the vital role they play in the company’s continued success. #Weloveourclients
